DRD provides a wide range of testing services. All the requisites to offer a complete testing service to our clients have been fulfilled by us.

DRD has been installed with all the new age instruments required for accurate and speedy results for each testing service offered by us. The instruments are well calibrated by Nabl accredited lab and provided with an environment which helps in minimizing errors and producing precise and accurate results.

We also make it sure that all the testing and inspection are carried out in an authentic manner and complying with the appropriate National & International Standards. It is committed to satisfying customers by providing quality service at a competitive cost.

Spectrometric Lab

The spectrometric lab has the sophisticated Optical Emission Spectrometer imported from Bruker AXS, Germany.

Q4 Tasman is an advanced CCD based Optical emission spectrometer for the metal analysis. It provides the answers you need fast using the very latest state of the art technologies.

The engineers have designed innovative solutions which make the Q4 Tasman OES System fully suitable not only for your dedicated applications but also for many general purpose applications.

The result is a completely new CCD instrument which lets you achieve your goals faster, more reliable and cost effective than ever before with this class of instrument.

WET Method

Wet method refers to chemistry performed on samples in the liquid phase. Since wet chemical analysis is performed on liquid samples, this type of element analysis can often be performed on samples too small for other instrumental methods.
Although the spectrometer has been installed this method of analysis is still used in case some tests need to be performed in the liquid phase

Mechanical Testing Laboratory equipped with :

  • Universal Testing Machine (60 tonnes max. capacity) with Electronically Controlled Panel & Electronic Extensometer for various type of mechanical tests like Tensile Test, 0.5% EUL, 0.2% Offset, % RA, % El., Bend tests, Proof Load Test of Nuts and Bolts, Proof Load Test of shackles, etc., Flattening and Flaring Tests, Drift Test, Testing of TMT / Deformed Test Bars, Angles / Channels / Beams, etc. for both ferrous and non-ferrous item.
  • Rockwell Hardness Tester (for normal and superficial hardness).
  • Brinnel Hardness Tester.
  • Vickers Hardness Tester (from 1Kg load to 50 Kg load).
  • Impact Testing Machines (both ASTM & BS Type) for carrying out Izod and Charpy Impact Tests from room temperature to upto minus 196 degrees Centigrade using liquid nitrogen. ASTM Type Impact Machine is calibrated as per ASTM E23/2016b and BS Type Impact Machine as per ISO 148 by both Direct and Indirect Method.

  • Macro-examination (with or without photo)
  • Micro-examination of ferrous and non-ferrous metals & alloys (with or without photo-micrograph)
  • Micro-examination of thin sheets \ nodule count etc.
  • Metallic coating thickness by micro-examination
